The TC Gateway Certificate is a certificate on which the name of the company and the e-mail address of the gateway are entered; i.e. the certificate confirms that the gateway or the sender's address belong to the company. As the TC Gateway Certificate is assigned to an application or server, as well as an e-mail address, it is possible to send signed e-mails via a mail gateway with the same mail address – e.g. info@company_XYZ.com. In this way it is also possible to receive incoming encrypted e-mails; for this the senders simply need the public key of the certificate.

With a TC Gateway Certificate you sign your e-mails automatically and show your communication partners that trust and security are important to you. The digital signature enables your partners to be sure that your e-mail has reached them unchanged, and that it does in fact come from your company. As a result, your e-mails are also clearly distinguished from SPAM or phishing e-mails.

You have a choice: TC Gateway Certificate is available in two trust levels – class 2 and class 3. In the case of class 2, the certificate details are checked by means of documents such as an extract from the register of companies and a copy of the applicant's ID card or passport. In the case of class 3, on the other hand, personal identification of the applicant is required before the certificate is issued.

It's easy to apply for TC Gateway Certificate online. After your successful application, you will receive an e-mail containing detailed instructions about the documents that will be needed for verification. If you decide on a class 3 certificate, with confirmation of personal identity you will be sent the necessary documents.

As soon as we have received and checked all the documents, we will issue the TC Gateway Certificate. You will then receive this by e-mail, along with information about how to proceed with the installation of your certificate. You will be notified before the certificate's period of validity expires, so that you can apply for a follow-up certificate in good time.
